I’m a pediatric occupational therapist with a passion for telehealth and autism! Telehealth for autistic kids in my field is almost unheard of, yet powerful changes occur in telehealth sessions and it’s my desire to deliver that to as many children as possible.

ABA and SPOT (speech and occupational therapy) collaborations are not new. Some still think the two approaches are incompatible. In my years of successfully delivering OT at ABA clinics, I believe this opposition is dangerous, as it prevents a child from achieving progress from a diverse approach to their care.

I founded SPOT Therapy Solutions LLC with my husband, Stevie, to increase access to skilled speech and occupational therapy services for families of neurodiverse children. With experience in developing telehealth programs for ABA clinics, I understand the challenges of maintaining sustainable OT and ST staffing, particularly in rural areas. My mission is to create a widespread, sustainable solution by partnering with ABA clinics across Indiana to provide long-term and seamless services. I’m passionate about collaborating with therapists from various disciplines to navigate the intricate worlds of fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, communication, behavior management, and neurodiversity.

With a background in psychology from Taylor University and a doctorate in occupational therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University, I’ve spent years studying human behavior and the impact of sensory processing on everyday life. My doctoral residency focused on how sensory processing experiences affect activities of daily living, and I recently presented my research findings at the national American Occupational Therapy Association conference. I’ve also contributed to various published research studies and have had the opportunity to speak about my telehealth experience on various podcasts and at Universities. I am dedicated to working with neurodivergent children, ensuring they receive holistic, collaborative care.
